Identity verification is required before you can submit a job application — so it’s worth doing early, right after your profile. Your verification status must be approved for an application to go through.
What you’ll need
- A government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID).
- A device with a camera (your phone usually works best).
- A few minutes in a well-lit space.
How it works
1
Start verification
Begin the verification from your profile when prompted.
2
Start verification
Begin the verification from your profile when prompted.
3
Photograph your ID and yourself
You’ll be handed off to Veriff to photograph your ID and take a quick selfie.
4
Wait for the check
Veriff confirms your ID is valid and matches you. Your status updates automatically when the check completes — usually within a few minutes, though it can occasionally take longer.
Possible outcomes
- Verified — you’re all set; nothing more to do.
- Resubmission needed — something was unclear (blurry photo, glare, expired ID). You’ll be asked to try again. Use good lighting and a steady hand.
- Declined — if verification can’t be completed, reach out to support.
The name and details on your ID should match the personal information in your profile and your tax documents. Mismatches can slow down hiring and payouts.
