The barrier to entry on Visora is intentionally low. Most contributors already own everything they need to get started — there’s no professional gear to buy, no studio to set up, and no certifications to earn. If you have a smartphone or a computer and a few spare hours each week, you’re likely ready to apply for your first job today.

Equipment

The specific gear required depends on the type of job you’re applying for. In general, you’ll need at least one of the following:
  • A smartphone (iOS or Android) capable of recording video — this covers the majority of listings on the platform
  • A digital camera for jobs that specify higher resolution or outdoor recording in specific formats
  • A computer with a webcam or built-in screen recording for screen capture and software workflow jobs
For egocentric (first-person) recording tasks, you may also need a way to mount your device hands-free:
  • A head-mounted or chest harness to hold your phone or camera at eye level while you perform a task
  • Specific mount requirements, if any, will be described in the job listing — some jobs provide guidance on affordable options, and in select cases equipment is provided by the client
Always read the full job brief before applying to confirm your current setup meets the task’s technical requirements.

Eligibility

To participate as a Visora contributor, you must meet the following baseline requirements:
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be located in a supported region — availability varies by job, and each listing specifies eligible countries or areas
  • Be able to read and follow a job brief and submit recordings that meet the stated criteria
  • Have at least a few hours per week available to dedicate to recording and uploading
Some jobs have additional eligibility criteria — for example, access to a specific environment (a kitchen, a garden, a car) or the ability to perform certain physical tasks. These are always described in the listing before you apply.

Experience level

No professional recording experience is required to contribute on Visora. The platform is designed to work with contributors of every skill level — from first-time recorders to experienced videographers. Every job comes with a detailed brief and clear instructions, so you always know exactly what’s expected.

Identity verification

Before you can access and apply for jobs on Visora, you’ll need to complete a one-time identity verification step. Visora uses Veriff, a trusted identity verification service, to confirm contributor identities and maintain a safe, trustworthy platform for everyone. The verification process typically takes just a few minutes and requires a government-issued ID and a brief selfie check. Once your identity is confirmed, your account is fully activated and you can start browsing and applying for jobs immediately. For step-by-step instructions on completing this process, see the Identity Verification guide.
Visora is flexible — you choose which jobs to take on and when. That said, individual jobs often do carry quotas and minimum hours. Each job’s brief and offer spell out what’s expected before you accept, so you always know the commitment up front.
