Good footage is footage that passes review and earns money. Most rejections are avoidable — they come down to using the wrong tool, missing a technical requirement, or not following the brief. This page covers all three.

Record with the right tool

The job decides which tool you use, and using the right one matters — for some job types the wrong tool is blocked because it can’t capture what’s needed.
For straightforward jobs — like a webcam clip you’ve already recorded — you upload your video file directly in the browser on the submission page. Drag and drop, and we handle the rest.
The app always tells you the right path for a given job — if a method isn’t allowed, the upload area is replaced with a button to open the correct tool.

Recording quality checklist

Our approval process checks things like resolution, frame rate, lighting, and — for some jobs — whether your hands or the right content are visible. To pass on the first try:
  • Match the requirements. Hit the exact resolution and frame rate the job asks for.
  • Light it well. Avoid backlighting and dark rooms.
  • Keep it stable. Avoid shaky footage; use a mount if the job calls for one.
  • Follow the brief exactly. Record the activity asked for, for at least the required duration.
  • Capture the full content. If the brief asks for hands in frame, a specific on-screen action, or no overlays, make sure that’s true for the whole clip.
  • Check your upload speed. Large video files need a decent connection — see your device profile.
The most common reasons for rejection are all avoidable: wrong resolution or frame rate, poor lighting, shaky or partial footage, not following the brief, or a clip that’s too short. Re-read the brief before you hit record.

Read the brief every time

Even within one job type, individual jobs differ. Before recording, open the job and confirm the specifics: the brief (what exactly to record), the minimum duration, the required files or components, and the accepted format. When you’re set, head to Submitting work.
