The contribution process
1
Browse and Apply
Start by browsing the job listings on Visora to find an opportunity that fits your equipment, location, and schedule. Each listing includes a description of the recording task, the required gear, the pay rate, and any location restrictions. When you find a job you want, submit a short application directly through the platform. Most applications ask a few basic questions about your setup and may request a brief sample recording so the job team can assess recording quality. No portfolio, résumé, or professional background is needed — just honest answers and a willingness to follow instructions.
2
Get Matched
After you submit your application, the Visora team reviews it against the requirements for that job. If your equipment, location, and availability are a good fit, you’ll be matched to that recording task and notified through the platform.Matching considers factors like the type of device you’re using, the environment described in your application, and your stated availability. If a particular job isn’t the right fit, your profile may be considered for other listings that open up later.
3
Record and Submit
Once you’re matched, you’ll receive a detailed job brief explaining exactly what to record, how long each clip should be, any specific angles or scenarios required, and how to name and organize your files before uploading.Record on your own schedule using your phone, camera, or computer — whatever the job specifies. When you’re finished, upload your footage directly through the Visora platform. Make sure your submission follows the brief closely, as this determines whether it passes the review stage.
4
Get Paid
After you submit, your recording enters the review queue. Once it’s approved, payment is processed and sent to your connected payout account. Most contributors receive payment within the same week their submission is approved. If a submission is flagged for any reason, you’ll receive feedback explaining what needs to be adjusted before re-submission.
What happens after you submit
Submissions are reviewed by the Visora team against the acceptance criteria defined in the job brief. Reviewers check for technical quality (clarity, stability, correct framing), completeness (all required scenarios captured), and compliance with any special instructions in the brief. There are two possible outcomes after review:- Approved — your submission meets the criteria and payment is processed on the next weekly payout cycle
- Feedback requested — your submission needs adjustments before it can be approved; you’ll receive specific notes explaining what to fix and how to re-submit
Pay rates are listed on each job before you apply, so there are no surprises. Payouts are processed weekly, and you can track the status of all your submissions from your contributor dashboard.
